Since the update to Ubuntu version 23.10, the convenient function of the application center has disappeared, and what appears to be a bug seems to persist in the upcoming version of the system, which will be released at the end of April (currently 24.04). However, we do not yet know if this will be the final version. Nevertheless, version 24.04 is faster than previous ones, and the design has been significantly improved.
As for what really works better (Ubuntu 23.10 and 24.04), printer drivers are installed as soon as a printer is detected and they work well, there’s optimization of laptop battery management, even the worst laptop batteries show much better performance.
The list of technical advancements is still long, but let’s move on to its worst handicaps (Ubuntu 23.10 and 24.04).
We have tried everything possible to remove applications via the terminal on different machines, but it doesn’t work. Hopefully, the programmers will come to their senses and offer a simple solution quickly, otherwise other Linux distributions may quickly gain more success…
