Bayou Blue Radio, a platform created by artists for artists, must continue to grow in order to better support the jazz community and foster new initiatives to promote the full diversity of the genre.
Bayou Blue Radio was founded in France in 2012 and has been based in Austin, Texas, since December 2021. Today, it reaches an audience of 3.2 million jazz enthusiasts worldwide. Our listeners include individuals as well as businesses such as boutiques, bars, restaurants, and hotels around the globe.
Eighty percent of our audience is in the United States, the birthplace of jazz. Our remaining listeners are primarily spread across Northern Europe: Germany, Austria, England, the Benelux region, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
To continue to thrive and support cultural diversity, we need your donations. Standing out in today’s musical landscape is a formidable challenge, and jazz is a rather narrow market with an increasing number of artists releasing albums each year.
The volume of releases makes it essential to entrust promotion to specialists—those who understand both the music and the target audience. We know our listeners well, and their request is simple: continue to do what we do best—spotlighting the finest jazz artists on the airwaves.
